Alternative financing, an essential complement for growing companies
It constantly hits the headlines, as a full reflection of reality, that alternative financing with private equity is growing by leaps and bounds in Spain. DEXTER has been a key player in this process since its foundation five years ago, as a financial manager and intermediary, representing more than thirty investment funds, debt funds and private equity funds in Spain.
Traditional bank financing continues to account for more than 80% of the Spanish market, but the need to obtain capital through funds is becoming increasingly apparent in the business world, as an instrument that makes operations quicker and more agile. We have not yet reached the levels of the United Kingdom, France or Germany, where alternative financing shares occupy a much more significant space than in Spain, but the trend is clear and is unlikely to be reversed in the short term.

The Risk Analysis Department of DEXTERThe Director, José Enrique Chasserot, sees this in his day-to-day work: "The entrepreneur who is looking for a complement in alternative financing, a personalised solution in which he is very clear about the repayment period he can adapt to and needs, has gained a lot of ground. It is a question, in many cases, of flexibility and open-mindedness on the part of those who have their company and their project in their hands. We go where others cannot"..
