"(...) the collaboration between financing through private equity and traditional banking is a fact that we experience every day and in which we take an active part".

Times are changing in the international market and, of course, in the Spanish market.
Since the beginning of 2022, a trend has been accentuated: the private debt business continues to grow at a considerable pace in our country.
It is not a question of suppressing but of complementing bank credit. Funds are thus growing as a source of financing for companies and their growth, starting, as was the case in Spain, from low initial levels. And everything suggests that this is a direction that is here to stay, as happened decades ago, for example, in the United States or in European economies such as Germany.
Without fully accurate data, but experts in the sector point out that alternative financing is already moving in figures ranging from 15% to 18% of the total. However, for the time being, the 20% barrier has not been reached.
It is not only a resource available to large companies. Companies with ebitda between 3 and 15 million euros are starting to resort to direct lending. Thus, from DEXTER Global Finance, its CEO, Yeidy Ramírez points out that "collaboration between financing through private equity and that offered by traditional banking is a fact that we experience every day and in which we take an active part. These are not antagonistic or exclusive options. On the contrary, they are complementary. They are complementary. And every day there are more and more
companies, to develop their projects in real estate or in other sectors, which draw up a hybrid financing scheme. At DEXTER, we are comfortable with these collaboration formulas that combine banking and other specific tranches for the funds", he concluded.
