Since 1989, the Malaga College of Architects has been awarding these prizes every two years, with the aim of recognising and disseminating those works or projects carried out in the province of Malaga which combine values of special architectural or urbanistic interest.
It also recognises those institutions and media or research works that have stood out for their work in the defence, promotion and dissemination of architecture and urban planning. This recognition is given both to the architects and to the promoters of the works.
