European Funds in Andalusia
With the help of the European Funds, Andalusia is responding to the Coronavirus pandemic and its economic and social consequences. The European Social Fund supports two programmes aimed at employment recovery and research in the field of health. The AIRE Initiative, endowed with 165 million euros, is aimed at promoting labour insertion by Andalusian municipalities, while the programme for the recruitment of postdoctoral researchers has 10.2 million euros to undertake pioneering research, one million of which will be spent on research into the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus.
