There are several circumstances that have led to the consolidation of co-housing as a housing model for the present and the future. There is labour mobility, there is the crisis of access to housing... and there are other elements that have led to a flexible, shared and communal formula making headway in Spain as a real alternative to individual ownership.<\/p>

In this regard, Araceli Mart\u00edn Navarro, president of Coword<\/em>says that \"We come from a society where renting was a waste of money and buying a house was synonymous with success and stability. Today, however, priorities have changed: young professionals, teleworkers, active seniors or international students are looking for housing that suits their mobile, collaborative and temporary lifestyles\".<\/em>.<\/p>

DEXTER<\/em>as a leader in alternative financing with private capital, and with a significant part of its operations focused on the residential area, has been studying the feasibility of numerous coliving projects throughout Spain for some time now. As Senior Risk Analyst Ruben Mi\u00f1arro points out, \"The fundamental issue here is usually the exit of the loan, as it is a three-year loan. Unlike pure residential, where there is a sale of the granular assets, of the homes, and immediate liquidity for the entrepreneur to repay the loan, in coliving we find more complex scenarios, but which of course can be assumed for the type of alternative financing that we carry out\".<\/em>concludes Mi\u00f1arro.<\/p>

As Araceli Mart\u00edn Navarro concludes, the coliving \"It is not a question of age, but of mentality. Those who opt for this model value access more than ownership, they prioritise freedom, experience and quality of life in community\".<\/em>. Although the first major projects emerged in Madrid, Andalusia is not far behind.
