Es un concepto que ha cuajado, y con raz\u00f3n en el mundo financiero y, en general, en la \u00f3rbita empresarial. La diligencia debida o \u2018due diligence\u2019 es esencial a la hora de otorgar un pr\u00e9stamo a una empresa porque ayuda al prestamista a evaluar y comprender los riesgos asociados con la transacci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Desde DEXTER, este proceso se lleva a cabo internamente, corporativamente, y tiene como objetivo: 1) la evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos financieros, analizando la salud financiera de la empresa prestataria, revisando sus estados financieros, flujos de efectivo o deudas existentes para identificar posibles problemas y prever riesgos de incumplimiento; 2) el examen de la viabilidad del negocio, de acuerdo con su estrategia, su modelo, el de la competencia y otros factores que puedan afectar su capacidad para cumplir con las obligaciones del pr\u00e9stamo; 3) la verificaci\u00f3n del cumplimiento legal y regulatorio, asegurando que la empresa cumple con todas las leyes y regulaciones pertinentes, algo que conlleva la revisi\u00f3n de contratos o posibles litigios pendientes; 4) el an\u00e1lisis de la gesti\u00f3n de riesgos operativos, evaluando la eficiencia y solidez de los procesos operativos de la empresa para identificar posibles vulnerabilidades derivadas de su funcionamiento diario; 5) el examen del propio liderazgo de la empresa, conociendo a sus principales directivos y su estructura, de manera que haya la m\u00e1xima seguridad en que se disponga de experiencia, habilidades y capacidad del equipo directivo de la prestataria.<\/p>
