US funds increase their appetite for Spain
Already more than 5 years ago, DEXTER was clearly committed to the management and representation of US institutional funds in Spain. And time has only consolidated this line of action, which is now seen as fundamental in the alternative finance and private equity market.
Experts in the sector, in fact, point out that at the beginning of 2025, and by way of a forecast, a greater appetite is being detected not only from funds but also from US companies to invest in Spain. In the real estate sector, undoubtedly, but also in other strategic sectors such as telecommunications. Even, in the midst of the ESG wave, operations in renewables, both wind and photovoltaic, despite the fact that in recent months there has been a certain amount of gridlock.
"A large part of our funds are of North American origin, both from the United States and Canada. We are talking about institutional investors, very strong, very consolidated, who have always seen the potential of our country and who, in our case, have bid strongly for the profitability of the mortgage-backed loans".notes Yeidy Ramírez, president of DEXTER.
Beyond the possible political or governmental ups and downs, the economic circuit in certain areas, such as real estate, is showing its best signs for the next 12 months.
