DEXTER, a key player in the financing of luxury developments across Spain

From La Quinta to Las Lomas de Marbella Club, from Sierra Blanca to Cascada de Camoján, from La Alquería or La Zagaleta to El Madroñal or Cortijo Blanco and Puerto Banús... the result of its establishment more than five years ago in Marbella's golden mile, DEXTER has been financing luxury developments in the most emblematic places on the Costa del Sol. Extending as far as the capital, Malaga, and, in the direction of Algeciras, carrying out numerous operations in Sotogrande and the surrounding area.

According to the profile of luxury property buyers, the British, Swedes and Germans are the nationalities with the highest demand for this type of residential property. However, the French and an increasing number of Moroccan nationals, including businessmen, are also choosing the Costa del Sol as their first or second homes.

This has led to developers and builders seeking to carry out their projects in an agile, fast and immediate manner, insofar as for any entrepreneur, "time is money". And this is where alternative financing with private capital has entered the equation.

As Rubén Miñarro, Senior Risk Analyst at DEXTER, points out, "there is a high percentage of developers who arrive with a sense of urgency to demand capital, knowing that bank financing procedures are slower and more bureaucratic, and that is when we start working side by side, as financial allies, to support their operation as soon as possible: so that they can finish paying for the land or start and move forward at a good pace with the work", concludes Miñarro.

On the Costa del Sol, statistics show that more than 90% of properties over 2 million euros are sold to foreigners. In Andalusia as a whole, approximately 15% of the housing - of any ticket - is bought by foreigners, a percentage that reaches 35% in the case of the province of Malaga.
