"Private capital is helping enormously in the development of the whole province, with a lot of strength in the coastal area."
It is a trend that is only consolidating. Foreign companies continue to have confidence in Malaga and will increase their investment and workforce by 2023. The main consultancy firms are calling, even explicitly, for more office space to encourage the growth of these investments and reduce bureaucracy on the part of the administrations.
This is in line with the fact that Malaga needs 5,000 new homes per year and 50,000 metres of office space. Already in 2021 a path was started that led to a rise in foreign investment to 348 million euros in 2021, 32.4% more than the previous year, when the value was 241 million. That is, roughly speaking, a third of the whole of Andalusia.
Private capital is helping enormously in the development of the whole province, with much strength in the coastal area. And so, foreign firms value the geographical location as an undeniable point of attraction. DEXTERIn fact, from its Marbella headquarters, it has been representing some thirty international funds in Spain for the past five years, keeping Malaga at the top of the agenda.
The Commercial Director of DEXTERGuillermo Díaz, points out that "We are perceiving in all matters concerning the financing of companies with private capital, alternative financing, that our funds are particularly receptive to business projects in Malaga. The capital itself, like the coastal areas, has been touched by a cosmopolitan patina that is favouring its development, which financially we are accompanying and, in all modesty, promoting to a large extent".he concluded.
