El coliving es un fenómeno inmobiliario que se inició en Estados Unidos, específicamente en Silicon Valley, producto de una gran demanda y poca oferta de vivienda en una zona de un explosivo desarrollo industrial y tecnológico, donde se produjo un choque entre la gran multitud de jóvenes profesionales para suplir las necesidades de recursos humanos de las empresas y sus inmensas ganas de socializar.

De esta forma, la idea es intercambiar experiencias desde el punto de vista laboral, residencial y de crecimiento personal, grupal y social. Una forma de vida, en definitiva.
Hoy, por otra parte, las nuevas generaciones de jóvenes están cambiando la perspectiva de valoración de las cosas y ahora se da un mayor privilegio a las experiencias que a las posesiones materiales. Así, los espacios de coliving han proliferado a nivel mundial especialmente en países como Estados Unidos, Japón o Alemania. En España, apenas ha empezado a despegar, pero las expectativas y las proyecciones indican un fuerte crecimiento para este quinquenio, principalmente en grandes ciudades.
La presidenta de DEXTER, Yeidy Ramírez apunta sobre este particular que “como gestor e intermediario financiero, y dado nuestro foco en el inmobiliario, siempre hemos estado muy atentos a los patrones de evolución del mercado.
